Armenian Prime Minister today, in Yerevan, hosted members of the Armenia Eagles chess club that have made it to the semifinals of the Pro Chess League to be held in San Francisco on May 4-5.

The Armenian Eagles won the Pro Chess League final last year, and Pashinyan told club members that he was certain they’d repeat their victory.

Pashinyan and the club members also discussed way to spur chess playing in Armenia and put the country of the international chess tourism map.

They also talked about using the “chessify” cell phone app in schools to teach chess.
