Public Optimism in Armenia Has Plummeted Due to Government Ineptitude, Says ARF-D

Armenia’s Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF-D), in a statement released at the conclusion of the party’s recent 23rd Supreme Assembly, declares that Armenia has entered a period of numerous challenges and uncertainty due to the 2018 popular movement and ensuing parliamentary elections.

The political party argues that the current Armenian government is avoiding tackling the Karabakh issue and is not fostering national unity around settling the conflict.

The ARF says that there’s a planned campaign in Armenia to belittle traditional national, cultural and spiritual values and institutions and a growing spirit of intolerance in the country, both of which are threaten national security and cohesiveness.

The statement fails to specify what forces are behind such a campaign.

In conclusion, the ARF claims that public optimism in Armenia towards the future has plummeted due to the current government’s unpredictable foreign policy, lack of tangible achievements and unsatisfactory work ethic.

The ARF says it will continue to wield all its pan-diaspora potential to implement its strategic vision of “To Develop without Concession” and, true to its socialist ideology, will pursue the goals of public harmony and social justice.

The party says that in its role of an opposition force and a defender of labor, the middle class and the vulnerable, it will continue to shed light on the socio-economic policies of the government.
