Pashinyan Attends International Workers' Day Event Organized by Grand Holding Company

To mark  International Workers’ Day, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his wife Anna Hakobyan today attended an event organized by Grand Holding, a company which touts itself as the “largest industrial taxpayer in Armenia since 1997”.

The company owns Grand Candy, several cigarette manufacturers, Grand Motors (the official Honda representative in Armenia), Grand Master ( a corrugated cardboard container manufacturer), and Grand Sport (a sport and fitness complex).

The event was held at Yerevan’s Karen Demirchyan Sports-Concert Complex.

According to a government press release, Grand Holding’s employees made up the bulk of those attending.

The company claims to have over 9,500 employees.

The press release fails to mention what took place at the event.

Armenian National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan and his wife also made an appearance.
