Armenian Foreign Minister Attends Eastern Partnership Meeting in Bratislava
On May 6, in Bratislava, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan attended a plenary meeting of the Visegrád Four, the Eastern Partnership member countries and the EU partners.
Mnatsakanyan, according to a ministry press release, described the Eastern Partnership as an important platform to assist Armenia’s cooperation with the EU.
The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a joint initiative of the European External Action Service of the European Union (EU) together with EU, its Member States, and six Eastern European Partners governing its relationship with the post-Soviet states of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
The Visegrád Group (also known as the Visegrad Four) is a cultural and political alliance of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia furthering cooperation as well as their integration in the EU.
