Yerevan State University (YSU) Rector Aram Simonyan has resigned.

YSU Press Spokesman Gevorg Emin-Teryan didn’t provide details as to why Simonyan resigned.

Many YSU students and some faculty had been calling for Simonyan’s resignation following last year’s “Velvet Revolution”.
