My Step Alliance MP Narine Khachaturyan Submits Resignation
Im Kayl (My Step) Alliance’s Narine Khachaturyan today submitted her resignation as a parliamentary deputy.
When asked by reporters to comment on rumors that she’s been picked to head the new Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, Khachaturyan neither verified nor denied the allegation.
“Yes, such talk exists, and it would be laughable to say it doesn’t. But I have time to give it some thought. The law affords me one week to ponder the move. I cannot rule out my leaving or staying,” Khachaturyan said, requesting that reporters give her a few days to make a final decision.
Khachaturyan was elected to parliament from the national electoral list of the “My Step” alliance of parties on December 9, 2018.
She has one week to withdraw the resignation.
