21st Century Will Witness Magnificent Rebirth of Armenian People, Pashinyan Proclaims

At an event in Dilijan entitled the Armenian “Summit of the Minds”, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan boldly declared that this century would see the “magnificent rebirth of the Armenian people”.

The original The Summit of Minds conference is annually held in Chamonix, France.

This is the first time the conference is being held in Armenia, mostly at the initiative of Armenian President Armen Sarkissian.

“All civilization, in essence, is founded one just one factor-the human mind. In general, there have been two factors that have impacted the world throughout its existence. There are the universal factors in addition to the human mind,” Pashinyan told those attending the conference.

Pashinyan said that in today’s world it’s the countries who nurture thought and ideas that are successful.

Turning his attention to the economic sector, Pashinyan said that what separates successful from unsuccessful business ventures is the investment of creative thought and ideas.

“As economists like to say, all else being equal, entrepreneurs and enterprises where the amount of invested mental capacity is great are most likely to be successful. I believe this is what we are seeing in Armenia today. And that’s why we believe the 21st century is the century of the Republic of Armenia, the century of the Armenian citizen and the century of the Armenian people. We believe this is a century in which the magnificent rebirth of the Armenian people will happen,” Pashinyan said.

“When it was the era of the ocean, we had none. When it was the era of oil, we had none. When it was the era of luck, we had none. When it was the era of power, we had none. Now, the era of thought has arrived, and there can be no doubt that we have such mental capacity. Thus, we must develop such thought and ideas and create the conditions so that our mental capacity flourishes and shines,” Pashinyan said.
