Members of the Swedish Riksdag (national legislature) cheered as members of a Armenian National Assembly delegation, headed by Armenian National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan, filed into the legislative chamber yesterday in Stockholm.

Members of the Armenian delegation met with Riksdag Speaker  Andreas Norlén and talked about the democratic reforms taking place in Armenia with Riksdag Deputy Speaker Lotta Johnsson Fornarve during a working lunch.

Fornarve, according to an Armenian government press release, fondly recalled her visit to Armenia in March and expressed her readiness to strengthen ties between the parliaments of the two countries.

Speaker Norlén held an official dinner in honor of the Armenian delegation at the stately Villa Bonnier.
