26-year-old Hovhannes Bachkov, a boxer from Armenia, was declared champion of the 64-kilogram division at the II European Games being held in Minsk.

Hovhannisyan beat his rival, Sofiane Oumiha from France, by a score of 3-2.

Some 4,000 athletes from fifty countries are participating in the games.
