
Greco-Roman Wrestler Artur Aleksanyan Wins Gold at Second European Games in Minsk
Artur Aleksanyan, from Armenia, won gold in the men’s Greco-Roman wrestling 97kg division today at the Second European Games in Minsk.
27-year-old Aleksanyan beat Aliaksandr Hrabovik, from Belarus, by a score of 5-0 for the top prize.
Gyumri born Aleksanyan, nicknamed the White Bear, won a gold in the 98kg division at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
The Armenian wrestler is also a three-time World Champion (2014, 2015, 2017), and a four-time European Champion (2012, 2013, 2014, 2018).
