Armenian President Visits Vanadzor Technological Center; Urges Trainees to "Think Big"

During his ongoing working visit to the norther Armenian province of Lori, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian visited the Vanadzor Technological Center and got acquainted with the programs now offered there.

Center Director Patvakan Hakhinyan, according to an Armenian government press release, noted that the center's goal is to create a favorable business environment for technology companies.

The Center helps start-ups and technology teams transform their ideas into successful business.

Since 2016, some 30 teams have participated in the center's acceleration programs. The other direction of activity refers to the development of professional skills. Various programming courses for people of all ages, from 10 years old, are organized.

Sarkissian toured the center, talked to those attending training sessions, and met with representatives of the companies located in the center.

"My message to you is as follows: think big! The smaller we think, the smaller we will develop. Therefore, we will only survive and not win. This is very important,” Sarkissian said in his address to center trainees. “Do not worry about your creative life, do not be afraid to face challenges that seem overwhelming or difficult. Try to solve them. If you have, for example, a fast-paced internet connection and opportunity to contact your colleagues, know what's in the market, there's no reason why you cannot have the same creative success as outside. There is no such reason. In the twentieth century, the world is rapidly changing, and whoever does not notice it will be late.”
