Artsakh Soldier Fires on Senior Officer; Commits Suicide
Armenia’s Investigative Committee says that yesterday’s death of Armenian Army Private Volodya Galoyan was most likely the result of a suicide.
Galoyan’s body, with a gunshot wound to the chin, was found yesterday near an Artsakh military post he was serving in.
The Investigative Committee, in a statement released today, says that Galoyan first opened fire on his senior officer and then later fled the scene with his weapon.
A criminal case based on Article 110 of the Criminal Code (Causing somebody to commit suicide) has been launched.
On July 21, an Armenian conscript soldier was found dead at a military post in Armenia.
