Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presided over a discussion regarding the fate of the controversial Amulsar gold mine.

According to a statement released by Pashinyan’s office, relevant government officials, Jermuk Community Council members, residents of the Gorayk, Zaritap, Jermuk communities, and environmental activists participated in the discussion.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is said to have answered a number of questions asked by the participants. The video for the discussion will be released shortly.

Elsewhere in Yerevan today, a few hundred people opposed to the mine demonstrated outside the National Assembly. (See VIDEO)
