
Foreign Minister Says Armenia Ready to Expand Its International Peacekeeping Role
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan today hosted a delegation led by US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper.
According to a foreign ministry press release, Mnatsakanyan noted that the further strengthening and deepening of friendly and partnership relations with the United States remains one of Armenia's foreign policy priorities.
Mnatsakanyan and the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense highly appreciated continuing US-Armenia cooperation within the framework of NATO's Partnership for Peace program and the Decisive Assistance Mission in Afghanistan.
In this context, Mnatsakanyan reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to continue and expand its contribution to international peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts.
