Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, First Deputy Minister of Defense, Major General Oleg Belokonev arrived in Armenia today,

Belokonev’s visit is part of a cooperation plan between the defense ministries of the two countries.

According to an Armenian Ministry of Defense press release, an official welcoming ceremony was held at the ministry’s administrative headquarters, after which the sides sat down for an extended meeting.

Issues related to the military-political situation in the Caucasus region, Armenian-Belarusian military and military-technical cooperation, joint participation of Armenian and Belarusian military personnel in bilateral and multilateral format were discussed during the meeting.
