Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, now on a working visit to Italy, today, in Rome, met with Fabrizio Renzi. Director of Research Innovation & Technology of IBM-Italy.

Fabrizio Renzi visited Armenia this year and, during a meeting with President Armen Sarkissian, agreed to start a partnership to preserve cultural heritage.

 Reference was made to the possibilities of making art and culture accessible to the wider public, emphasizing the role of modern technologies, in particular, artificial intelligence.

Considering the idea quite interesting and promising, President Sarkissian said that technology is often associated only with weapons and defense, while they can play a very important role in the field of culture.

 It was noted that this sphere could become another promising direction of Armenian-Italian cooperation.
