Artsakh National Assembly Speaker Ashot Ghulyan today received a delegation of the city of Strovolos of the Republic of Cyprus headed by Mayor Andreas Papacharalambous.

The delegation in Artsakh is accompanied by Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of Europe (ANCA) Kasbar Garabedian, Chairman of the Armenian National Committee (ANCA) Hakop Kazanjian and member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Committee in Cyprus Raffi Mahdesian.

Welcoming the guests, Ashot Ghulyan emphasized the similarity of the histories and fates of the Cypriot and Armenian peoples and expressed confidence that such regular meetings provide an opportunity to get to know each other and to make relations between the two cities permanent.

With a population of 70,000, Strovolos is a municipality of  the Nicosia District.
