Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan today, in Stepanakert, hosted a reception for U.S. Congresswomen Jackie Speier and Judy Chu.

They discussed issues dealing with the US-Artsakh relations, settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict and regional developments, this according to an Artsakh government statement.  

President Sahakyan pointed out that developing relations with the USA is among the priorities of the Artsakh foreign policy agenda, acknowledging the role of the United States in the peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabagh conflict and maintaining stability in the region.

Artsakh National Assembly deputy Chairman Vahram Balayan, Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan, and head of the Armenian National Assembly's My Step faction Lilit Makunts and other officials attended the meeting.
