Armenian Ministry of Defense spokesperson Artsrun Hovhannisyan reported in a Facebook post that Azerbaijan fired several rounds of various caliber arms in Tavush Province yesterday night and early in the morning, aiming at various villages and military positions. Armenian side responded to the Azerbaijani gunfire. There are no casualties from the Armenian side.

"The Azerbaijani side is apparently being provocative against the background of the Council of CIS Defense Ministers in Baku, escalating the tension at the state border of Armenia. We call on the Azerbaijani side to refrain from provocations and we note that it will not go unanswered, but after the session, "Artsrun Hovhannisyan noted in another post.
