Monument Commemorating March 1, 2008 Victims Slated for Yerevan

A monument commemorating the victims of the March 1, 2008 post-presidential election protests in Yerevan will be erected in the Armenian capital.

Eight civilians and two police officers were killed in the protests. 

Scores were injured. 

The Armenian government has allocated AMD 2 million to begin the required paperwork and draft a design.
