Armenian-Georgian Legal Cooperation Forum in Yerevan

The third Armenian-Georgian Legal Cooperation Forum kicked off in Yerevan today with the participation of Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani,, Armenian Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan, UNDP Resident Representative Dmitry Mariyasin, EU Delegation Head Serrano de la Rosa, among others.  

The two-day forum, organized with the support of the European Union and the United Nations Development Program, will focus on judicial reform in the two countries, introduction of e-justice tools, improvement of human rights, the fight against corruption, penal policy and the fight against criminal culture.

Armenian Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan welcomed Tsulukiani and members of the Georgian delegation to Yerevan and thanked his colleague for promoting close and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of justice between the two neighboring states.

Minister Badasyan, according to a ministry press release, said it was appropriate to hold the forum on December 9 and 10, since the dates coincide with the International Day against Corruption and Human Rights, which reaffirms the commitment of the justice ministries of the two friendly countries to fight against corruption without compromise. and to improve the human rights situation.

Highlighting the importance of the ongoing forum, Minister Badasyan expressed confidence that such discussions would provide an opportunity for joint efforts to resolve the issues in the field of justice, while hoping that the two-day forum in Yerevan would allow for further deepening and expanding cooperation between the two justice ministries.
