At a meeting today in Yerevan with Armenian Minister of Environment Eric Grigoryan, Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF) Director Geof Giacomini announced that the  CNF will be allocating a €800,000 grant to Armenia to increase the salaries of ministry staffers monitoring the country’s specially protected areas and to cover the cost of other expenditures.

Giacomini, according to a ministry press release, expressed his satisfaction with the work the Armenian government is carrying out in these protected areas.
