Armenia to Intensify Monitoring of Arrivals/Departures During Holiday Season
Armenia will bolster security and medical checks at border crossings throughout the holiday season.
The government believes such steps are necessary given the increased numbers of those arriving and leaving Armenia at this time.
Heightened security will be implemented especially along the border with Georgia, at the Bagrashen, Bavra, Ayrum-Jiliza and Gogovan-Privnoloye crossings.
The Health and Labor Inspectorate says hand-held, no-touch thermometers, like those used to screen for Ebola, will be used at border crossings and airports.
