Yerevan police are urging people not to use drones to video New Year’s celebrations scheduled to take place in Republic Square, the heart of the Armenian capital.

The police, in a statement, have called on revelers not to bring fireworks of any kind to the square for public safety reasons.

Vehicular traffic to the square will be closed as of 6pm, December 31.
