Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has sent a congratulatory message to Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the first President of Armenia (1991-1998), who turns 75 today.

“You have been at the core of the Karabakh movement, the proclamation of independence of Armenia and Artsakh, and the restoration and establishment of Armenian statehood at the end of the 20th century. Your role in strengthening the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia as a subject of international law and ensuring the security of Armenia and Artsakh is of great importance. I cannot fail to mention your fruitful scientific activities and esteemed publications,” Sarkissian’s message reads
