None of the eleven design bids submitted to the Yerevan Municipality for a monument dedicated to the victims of the March 1, 2008 post-election protests has been approved.

Yerevan Mayoral Spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan, in a Facebook post today, did not say if a new round of bids would be accepted.

Eight civilians and two police officers died in the Yerevan protests following the February 2008 election of Serzh Sargsyan as president.
