On February 10, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, now in Austria on a working visit, met with Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization Lassina Zerbo.

Mnatsakanyan, according to an Armenian government press release, reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the goals of disarmament and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and noted that Armenia ratified the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 2006.

Both sides highlighted the strengthening of nuclear security at the national and international level through the ratification and implementation of international legal instruments, as well as the adoption of national legislation.

In this regard, Mnatsakanyan appreciated the activity of the Garni Seismic Station in Armenia, as well as the technical assistance provided to the Armenian Seismic Protection Agency aimed at capacity building of the National Data Center.
