Head of the Department of Moral/Psychological Support of the Armenian Armed Forces Sacked
Aleksan Aleksanyan has been dismissed as Head of the Department of Moral/Psychological Support of the Armenian Armed Forces.
An official government press release gives no specifics as to why Aleksanyan was dismissed, only stating that it was on the instruction of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
On February 17, Pashinyan convened a meeting of senior military and law enforcement officials to review the continuing non-combat deaths within the armed forces of Armenia and Artsakh.
Yesterday, Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Artak Davtyan told reporters in Yerevan that personnel changes would be forthcoming within the army’s upper echelons.
