Dear women, mothers, sisters, daughters - proud citizens of the Republic of Armenia,

I warmly congratulate you on International Women's Day. This beautiful spring holiday is yet another occasion to express our respect and boundless love for you.

This day is not only an occasion for congratulations and warm words and flowers for our beloved wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters, but also to once again record the day's advice on the protection of women's rights.

Although there are no obvious issues in the field of women's rights protection in our country, it is always appropriate to discuss and raise issues related to women's rights.

Unfortunately, violence against women is still taking place in our society, which is unacceptable, especially in the context of our nation-wide vision of a non-violent society. Our task is to raise the level and quality of measures aimed at protecting women's rights, which will ultimately lead to their prevention and exclusion by the relevant authorities.

The role of women in the new Armenia is very big and important. Evidence of this is that precisely the unprecedented political activism of women two years ago became the turning point that allowed for historic change in Armenia. In Armenia, women need to be active in public, political, and economic terms, and have greater opportunities for political, economic, and public leadership. It is one of the most important priorities of our government.

It is no coincidence that many women in the top ranks of the public administration system are successful today, and in my opinion, their numbers should increase.

Our government will seek to address the issues you raise and initiate programs that will make it possible to fully realize your potential both in the family and in public life.
