Armenian Deputy Justice Minister Receives Asian Development Bank Delegation

Armenian Deputy Minster of Justice Kristineh Grigoryan today received a delegation headed Asian Development Bank Armenia Director Paolo Spantigati and the two discussed several issues of cooperation in the framework of judicial reforms.

Paolo Spantigati noted that the Asian Development Bank has been actively cooperating with the private sector in Armenia and stressed that the country is one of the best examples of cooperation that the Bank has regionally.

Spantigati also noted that the judicial reform process in Armenia is also viewed in the light of a more favorable environment for the private sector, and that his office is ready to cooperate with both the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Judicial Council for that purpose.

Deputy Minister Grigoryan, according to a ministry statement, talked about the judicial sector reforms her office has initiated that are closely related to the activities of the private sector and the promotion of the business environment in Armenia.

The two sides concluded the meeting by agreeing on a list of future cooperation issues that need discussion.
