
Coronavirus Fallout: Iranian Citizens Must Obtain Visas to Travel to Armenia
Armenia has suspended implementation of an earlier memorandum it signed with Iran allowing citizens of both countries to visit the other without visas.
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the measure was taken due to the coronavirus outbreak in Iran
Citizens of Iran must now acquire visas before travelling to Armenia.
The ministry reports that the Armenian Embassy in Tehran is operating on an “emergency regime, and that consular services have been suspended.
Those wishing to travel from Iran to Armenia must now obtain visas through the E-VISA system.
