Armenia’s Ministry of Justice reports that no Covid-19 cases have been registered at the country’s penal institutions and that no inmates are showing symptoms characteristic of the disease.

The ministry, in a statement, says that all necessary measures are being taken to monitor inmates and staff.

The ministry calls on friends and relatives of those incarcerated or detained awaiting trial not to visit their loved ones since this is in the best interest of all concerned.
