Five more COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Armenia today, raising the total number to thirteen.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reported the news in a video posting.

Pashinyan said that twelve of the infected are in satisfactory condition and that one has pneumonia.

The Armenian prime minister said that he and his wife Anna Hakobyan will undergo testing for the virus tomorrow.

Pashinyan said the reason is because his wife met with the wife of Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on March 7.

News reports had circulated that President Bolsonaro had tested positive for virus. He later claimed that he had tested negative.

Bolsonaro took the test after his communications chief, Fabio Wajngarten, tested positive for the virus.

Update: Nikol Pashianyan and Anna Hakobyan have tested negative for COVID-19. Pashinayn reported the news in a Facebook post today.
