Tchambarak Residents Without Electricity Since Yesterday
Residents of the Gegharkunik community of Tchambarak have been without electricity since yesterday.
Electric Networks of Armenia spokesperson Natalya Sarjanyan told Hetq that a tree had fallen on a supply line, causing the power cut.
Sarjanyan said that deep snow had hampered emergency crews dispatched to repair the line.
The utility company spokesperson said the supply line would soon be repaired and that power to Tchambarak would resume within the hour.
Tchambarak, with a population of some 5,800, sits on the Armenian border with Azerbaijan.
