Armenia Reaffirms Its Committment to Global Coronavirus Ceasefire

Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan sent a letter to UN Secretary General António Guterres, reaffirming Armenia's commitment to join the call for a global ceasefire during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Emphasizing the need to fight jointly against the epidemic, Mnatsakanyan wrote: "International support is equally important for those affected by the conflict. In this regard, the support of the UN professional bodies, and particularly, the World Health Organization, and the access of people living in the regions affected by the conflict is especially important. Armenia is ready to provide all the necessary conditions for the work of the relevant UN bodies, regardless of the status of the territory.”
