On April 22, Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan visited military bases located along Armenia's southern border with Azerbaijan.

Tonoyan, according to a defense ministry press release, spoke with military commanders on the ground about the situation along the border zone and ongoing fortification works.

 Tonoyan assured them that the Pashinyan government is focused on improving conditions within the military.

The defense minster also heard reports about steps being taken to increase morale and combat training at the border bases.
