Armenian Human Rights Defender: Failure to Condemn 1915 Armenian Genocide Led to Other Genocides

Armenian Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan issued the following remarks on the 105th anniversary of the 1915 Armenian Genocide.

On April 24, the Day of Remembrance of the Innocent Victims of the Armenian Genocide, we commemorate the 1.5 million innocent victims and pay tribute to their immortal memory.

This year marks the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, but it does not prevent Armenians around the world and advanced humanity from remembering and condemning the first genocide of the 20th century.

The failure to condemn the Armenian Genocide in a timely manner and not properly assesing that grave crime against humanity is the reason that led to further genocides.

By paying tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide, we must always, in a united fashion, strengthen our Homeland.
