Armenia: Health Ministry Urges People to Remain at Home

The Armenian Ministry of Health has called on people to remain at home as much as possible, even though the government, on May 4, eased several movement restrictions.

The country has seen a steady number of new Covid-19 cases of late.

The ministry reports that another 138 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed, raising the total count to 3,313.

In a statement released today, the ministry calls on people to frequently wash their hands, to avoid public crowds, and to maintain a minimum of one meter of social distancing.

The ministry advises individuals returning to Armenia from countries where the coronavirus is rampant to self-isolate for two weeks and to contact their polyclinic physician.

The ministry also urges people to periodically check their temperature and to report their findings to their doctor.
