Armenian, Egyptian Foreign Ministers Discuss Coronavirus Challenges
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, today, by telephone, discussed the steps taken by their governments to address the challenges posed by the novel coronavirus.
The two, according to a statement released by Mnatsakanyan’s office, reaffirmed their readiness to continue expanding the bilateral agenda.
They stressed the need to take steps to fully realize the potential of pharmaceuticals, alternative energy, information technology and innovation, agriculture, and other areas. In this context, the Armenian-Egyptian partners also discussed the work of the Armenian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission.
The ministers also touched upon issues of cooperation within multilateral frameworks, including in the African Union, the EEU and the UN.
