Tsarukyan Questioned for Ten Hours; "Papers have been forged"

Ten hours after entering the National Security Service offices in Yerevan to be interviewed regarding alleged illegal activity of his Shangri La Casino, Prosperous Armenian Party head Gagik Tsarukyan exited the building and reiterated his claim that the entire matter was a government fabrication.

Tsarukyan told waiting reporters that the government has launched an intimidation campaign against him because he’s called for Pashinyan and his administration to step down.

“Papers have been forged. I regard everything that’s happened after my statement as political in nature,” Tsarukyan said.

He did not field any other questions from reporters and advised them to contact law enforcement for additional answers.

Before departing, Tsarukyan told his supporters gathered outside to go home.

Police, earlier today, raided Tsarukyan’s Arinj mansion and requested that he appear for questioning.
