Pashinyan Hits the Streets: Distributes Face Masks to Yerevan Pedestrians

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to the streets of Yerevan today, handing out surgical face masks to pedestrians and thanking those wearing masks.

He advised people to follow safety guidelines, saying that the coronavirus crisis can only be overcome with their cooperation. 

He recently called on citizens to report violations of the law requiring all to wear masks outside the home. According to newly issued guidelines, those not weraing face masks can be fined 10,000 drams ($21).
