Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today hosted a team of German medical workers who are in Armenia to help their Armenian colleagues in the fight against the coronavirus and share their work experience in this regard.

Armenian First Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Armenian Ambassador to Germany Ashot Smbatyan, and German Ambassador to Armenia   Michael Johannes Banzhaf also attended the meeting according to a statement released by Sarkissian’s office.

President Sarkissian thanked the medical staff for their mission, noting that the epidemic is a global tragedy, and there is only one way to overcome it - to fight the epidemic globally.

 "We must all work together in this struggle. Your help and support is very important in this regard," said Sarkissian. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Germany, my good friends, President Steinmeier and Chancellor Merkel,” Sarkissian told his guests.

Sarkissian invited them all to visit Armenia with family and friends after the epidemic.
