
Armenia's New Environment Minister Visits HayAntar SNOC Office
Newly appointed Armenian Minister of Environment Romanos Petrosyan today visited the offices of the state Forest Committee and the HayAntar SNOC (State Non-Commercial Organization to meet the staff and get acquainted with ongoing programs.
Petrosyan, according to a statement released by the ministry, noted that “Ensuring sustainable forest management, conservation, protection, restoration, and the efficient use of resources is extremely important for the diversification and development of Armenia’s economy.”
He stressed the need to instruct people to cherish and safeguard the natural world, noting that such concepts need to be instilled at a young age, in schools and in families.
