The Yerevan Municipality reports that a project to replace 100 apartment house elevators by the end of the year has been scaled up to 500.

The municipality, in a statement, reports that most of the operating elevators in Yerevan buildings are more than forty years old, fifteen years more than their recommended service life.

The municipality did not note the estimated cost of the project.
