U.S. Provides Additional $1.436 Million to Armenia to Combat Covid-19

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) reports that the U.S. has provided an additional $1,436,000 to Armenia to combat the impact of COVID-19.

$1 million will go towards restoring Armenia’s agriculture and its tourism sector and to transition them to the realities of the post-coronavirus world.

The additional $436,000 will be used to meet the needs of vulnerable migrants who are unable to return to their place of residence due to the epidemic. Thanks to this assistance, they will have housing, food, as well as the opportunity to use medical and social services.

In total, the U.S. government has provided about $4 million in emergency assistance to Armenia in 2020.
