Pashinyan Addresses the Nation: Today’s Armenian Is No Longer Destined for Deir Zor

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today, in a live broadcast, addressed the Armenian people, in Artsakh, Armenia and worldwide. Pashinyan said that the Armenian Armed Forces are heroically confronting an Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance that has launched an “unprecedented” attack along the Artsakh Line of Contact.

He says that the Artsakh Defense Army and Armenian volunteer units are waging a life and death struggle to protect Artsakh and its people. He says that despite Armenian losses, Azerbaijan has failed miserably on the military front. Pashinyan says that Azerbaijani casualties number in the thousands, with scores of damaged or destroyed planes, helicopters and drones.

Pashinyan describes the ongoing fighting as more than Azerbaijan’s desire to capture territory, labelling it as a continuation of the 1915 Armenian Genocide. He says that today’s Armenian is no longer a person destined to the killing fields of Deir Zor.
