Armenian, French Foreign Ministers Discuss Karabakh Fighting
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian, spoke by phone today and discussed the ongoing fighting along the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border.
Mnatsakanyan, according to a statement released by his office, raised the issue of Azerbaijan’s indiscriminate shelling of civilian targets in Artsakh, strongly condemning such acts.
Mnatsakanyan also expressed his concern about the direct involvement of foreign armed terrorists transferred to Azerbaijan from the Middle East with the support of Turkey in the hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan.
Both sides stressed the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the necessary steps in this direction within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
