Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Passhinyan today said that the principle of “secession for salvation” will be at the core of his government’s position to resolve the Karabakh conflict.

"The principle of secession for salvation, which is a modern manifestation of the principle of peoples' self-determination, entitles certain groups, peoples, to secede from any state when there is a risk of discrimination, widespread human rights abuses or genocide, and excludes union with one state. if the merger will result in the same consequences as above.” Pashinyan wrote in a FB post.

Pashinyan added that the potential of all Armenians must be focused on resolving the issue.
