
Artsakh President Fires Several Top Government Officials
Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan today fired the following officials, this according to a statement released by his office.
Assistant to the President of the Republic of Artsakh - Rudik Martirosyan
Deputy Prosecutors General of the Republic of Artsakh - Erik Verdiyan and Sasun Gabrielyan
Member of the State Statistics Council of Artsakh - Armen Soghomonyan
Yeghishe Arzumanyan, a member of the Central Electoral Commission of Artsakh, was terminated ahead of time.
Harutyunyan also approved the Artsakh government’s decisions to dismiss the following officials.
First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Housing - Arkady Soghomonyan
Deputy Minister of Urban Development - David Avanesyan
Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture - Erik Grigoryan,
Acting Chief of Staff of the State Revenue Committee - Gagik Hayrapetyan
Assistant to the Head of the Government Affairs Department of the Office of the President - Artak Arstamyan
While no reason was given for the dismissals, they follow Harutyunyan’s earlier announcement today that he would review the cases of those officials who left the country at the start of the war, firing those found in violation of their government responsibilities.
