At a news briefing today in Yerevan, Armenian Defense Ministry Special Representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated that Artsakh Defense Army (ADA) units repelled an attempted Azerbaijani advance towards the village of Taghavard, which lies north of Hadrut and destroyed a mercenary unit there

Hovhannisyan said that Azerbaijani forces also attempted an advance to the south of Martuni this morning, but that ADA forces, especially artillery units, destroyed a number of armored enemy vehicles and infantry personnel, after which Azerbaijani forces retreated to their original positions.

Hovhannisyan said the Azerbaijani military employed airpower and artillery in the attempted advance.

He said that just before the briefing, Azerbaijani targeted Stepanakert and Shushi with Smerch missiles and again deliberately targeted Stepanakert’s Mother and Child Health Center.
